Live Subtitling

Hi

Does anyone have any experience of adding live text to a live video stream?  

We have an XD1132, with a live camera on a Live Video Zone; and ideally have a zone below this where an operator can type (maybe via a networked laptop, connected USB keyboard etc) subtitles whilst the live event is happening.

I've looked at live text via rss, but I am wondering if there is a better way.

    You could display a variable in that zone, and send the string over the network using udp. IN brightauthor, you can listen for udp messages and automatically assign them to variable. So each string you typed, and hit send on, would then show up in that zone. That would be using live text and a variable vs rss.
