Hello,
I've been tasked with "shutting off the screen at night". There are countless ways of doing this with the brightsign, but the simplest is most likely going to a new state with an image of black at the specified time. And then restoring to the video loop in the morning.
But I noticed an option in the Time/Clock event called "Remain on current state (Stop Playback, Clear Screen)" Now, there appears to be no documentation of this option. My assumption is that it does exactly what I want. When the timed event is triggered and this option is selected, the screen goes blank. Then, when the morning event comes along, I simply start the only state I have and the video resumes.
Can someone confirm this will work? My brightsign is already deployed on a BrightSign Network so I don't have much room for experimentation.
Sincerely,
Marcus
