Hi,

 

How can I get my hands on an earlier OS version for Brightsign players?

I'm looking for the 7.1.6.5 firmware version for Brightsign XD1033 .

  It seems that there is a compatibilty issue with Brightsign's latest OS versions and Appspace.

  On reboot to the Brightsign device (tested with HD224, HD1024 and XD1033), Appspace is loaded and shows the registration screen, although device was already registered and In Sync with the Appspace server. This occured when using the latest OS version of these devices.

  When tested the XD1033 device with 7.1.65 OS version, the problem did not re-occuer.

  Is there an archive of Brightsign's earlier OS versions? I am now trying to get an earlier OS version for the HD4 players (7.1.65 if exists and if it doesn't, maybe just the first OS version for that product), in order to get it working properly with Appsapce.

  I've looked at the post, and the only version available for the HD4 players is 8.0.17 and I've already tried this version unsuccessfully.

  Do you or anyone else know if this is the earliest version there is for these players?

  I asked this question a few weeks ago and BrightSign told me there is no pre-8.0 version of firmware for the LS424 and HD1024.  I tried playing with the URLs to find certain old versions like I do for every other model and couldn't find it either.

  The HD4 and LS4 series require OS 8.  They were manufactured and initially shipped with 8.0.6.6 which I'm happy to post, however that version still isn't compatible with Appspace, and generally we recommend users to update to at least 8.0.17.  BrightSign and Appspace are working together closely to get a combination of OS and Appspace qualified for use.

  Is there any earlier than 8.0 version for HD1024?

  There is a problem with touchscreen - using of multitouch function on the monitor makes player reboot

  @krt - No, there are no builds of BrightSign OS (formerly known as firmware) prior to 8.0.x for HD4 and LS4 players.
