On some players/firmware/BrightAuthor, the 4K zone will show as HD in the Layout.

When this happens, all you need to do is halve the resolution in the layout.

So if you want 3072x1728 output, so set the zone size to 1536x864 and it should come out fine for you.

It's an odd quirk, but I do this with players for LED walls for events all the time, and it works.

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you for your reply!

But i want to know, in my case if i set layout to 1536x864, and display 3072x1728, the movie screen will upscale(play 1536x864 movie, but upscale to  3072x1728) or point to point (play 3072x1728 video and display 3072x1728)? because i need the sharp display.

    Thank you.

    Gavin:

I understand the confusion, this is why many have asked BrightSign not to do this the way that they have.

The 1/2 scale should only apply to the Zone Layout screen, and nothing else. It will double it back again for working with video when outputting in 4K.

Example if your actual output is 3840x2160 the zone will show as 1920x1080 in the Zone Layout for full screen, but if you put a 3840x2160 video in that zone, it will be output at 3840x2160 pixel for pixel.

So even though you have the zone size set for 1536x864, you should be able to put a 3072x1728 movie in that zone, and it should output at 3072x1728 pixel for pixel.
