Firmware update via web admin length?

I have three new XT244s with firmware v7.1.53 that I'm configuring. On setup via web, I checked the Update Firmware box, selecting the default current v8.0.48 and set it off to complete.

45 minutes later it has not finished, with no indication anything is happening, other than the network activity light is flickering on the Brightsign.

I wasn't able to find any information about this in the faq.

Is this normal? If so, is there any estimated time to complete?

    Hi Philip,

    Yes, this is a known issue.  Set that firmware field to use the current firmware, and then update the firmware through another method to the current version.  You can also manually update the firmware and then go through the on-device setup process if that works better.

    Thank you. I was able to update them manually after pulling the plug.
