Brightsign Logo Displays Every Monday Morning. Power Cycle has to be given.

Hi guys

Every Monday we have to disconnect the Brightsign players from the network and plug them back in again in order for them to display the content throughout the week. Our networks team have indicated that no work gets carried out over the weekend in order for the players to lose connectivity. The comms team have also set the content to run throughout each week. Do you have an explanation as to why the Brightsign players are doing this?

    The logo?  As in the boot/diagnostic screen?  Is there an IP address showing?  Are you set for DHCP?

     

    Maybe something wrong with the way your DHCP server is set up?

    Possibly a network device is scheduled for a Sunday reboot, which breaks the players provisioning.

    You could schedule a player reboot at early Monday morning, and that might workaround the issue.

    Examining the players log in the Diagnostics Web Server page, might reveal something, such as lost access to NTP, or something like that.
