When a UDP Input Event is either deleted or modified in BrightAuthor, the old UDP Input Event still shows up in the Brightsign Mobile App. How do you remove a UDP Input Event so that it is truly removed?

Lyndon This sounds like a possible bug. What brighatuthor and firmware are you using, and which version of the app? ios or android? what finally makes it refresh?

Chad DePugh I'm having the exact same issue. Using BrightAuthor 4.7.2.18 and using a BrightSign HD1024 player with firmware 8.0.127. The UDP Event buttons do not update unless you close the entire app and reopen. Once reopened, new UDP Buttons appear, but buttons that should be deleted are still present... Its starting to really clutter the interface.

msberger I can confirm this annoying bug on XT1144 / 8.0.127 / BrightAuthor 4.7.2.18, but i also found a workaround.
If the presentation is saved under a new name the unused buttons are gone.

Brecht Gettemans I have the same problem. Reported since 5 months, still there...

Gavin This seems to be an issue with the iOS device. I have this problem on an iPAD for the project that I have been testing with, but not for my iPhone that I just connected to the players.
Deleting the APP on the iPad and reinstalling it fixed the issue. -
Chad DePugh Sadly Gavin, for me, this is not an option. That is over 500 iOS Devices to delete an app off of... In all fairness, this sort of 'bug' should have been squashed by now, and it isn't...

Gavin Oh, that is a problem. And here I am thinking I have done some good in the world by finding a solution and posting it.. (First time for me)
Some work needs to be done on the iOS app by the developers I think!

Chad DePugh Please don't get me wrong, I did not intend that as a bash or anything. Just stating that I wish it was that simple for me lol. If it was a handful of devices, that may have worked, as I had not thought to just delete the app and re-install. But with that, I do know that with new iOS devices that we install the app on, the old buttons are still showing up on them. Maybe uninstalling and re-installing will trigger something to delete, but at least with a fresh install on a new device, the old buttons still are present.
But, this isn't much of a sour point for our property atm anymore, as we just went "screw the app" and stopped using it. We now just send UDP Triggers via our SSIS Server and a script so that when something happens, it automatically triggers the event. No more need for tons of employees to have iPods strapped to their wrists just for the purpose of hitting a button.

Shawn Faherty I just figured out you can delete an Event by first selecting it and then hitting the Delete Key!!!
