Bright Author as open source

Vote if you think Bright Author classic should go open source.

While BA Connected is evolving, many users still rely on BA classic to get their work done. It is apparent that development effort is focused on the new gen of BA, and BA classic is going to stay the way it now forever.

Over the years there have been many requests for BA improvements, so making the source code available on a public repo seems like the right thing to do.

What do you think?

    Looks very interesting.

Could you tell us more in a new thread, so this one is kept focused?

    Thanks for sharing!

Would have been great if BrightSign made BrightAuthor classic available on github, and allowed the community to make tweaks.

Not seeing that happening, as they would want everyone to use BA Connected. I wish I was wrong.

Thinking about it, BrightSign could make both BA classic, and BA Connected open source, and make it possible for long time devs to contribute.

That would be a win-win type deal.
