Hi there

I would like to know if it's possible to make a polling / voting with a touchscreen and store the results locally, so I don't need a server solution for the project. Imagine this. At a touchscreen you see four buttons with a question each. You are asked to vote when leaving the room. You press one of the buttons and after that you will see how previous guests have voted. The results are presented with numbers each - and you can see the total number of votes since the session was started. The results must be stored, so when the BrightSign is being turned off, the results are jept - and added up, when the BrightSign is being powered up again. Can I store the results locally or do I need to go online / server to do this? Dues the BrightSign software offer this opportunity - or hos can this be made? Are the add ons that I can buy somewhere that can do thr trick? :-)

  Hi John,

  you could do this on a brightsign. just need to create and use some variables. Then display the variable totals after the person has voted. The tricky bit would be if you wanted to display the votes in a graph. but displaying variable values the  Livetext widget is straight forwards

  Thank you for the info. I would be glad just to see the results as text in the first round. I need to read a little about this. Are there some templates with voting/polling/counting votes + showing results somewhere in this community maybe? I will take a look in the categories.
