Hi, how long can I run a cable and what type of cable should I use to have GPIO buttons on a long distance, say between 50-100ft?
Right now, the longer I could get with a Cat5e cable is 30ft.
Is it only a matter of cable impedance to get the 3.3V further or do I have to convert the 3.3V to 5V or 12V at the GPIO output and then convert it at 3.3V at the button end.
The buttons I use are touchless with LED and have a RJ9 connector.
