SYNCING 3 VIDEOS, 3 SEPARATE SCREENS, LOCALLY, SD CARD, NETWORK SWITCH

Hi there,

Hoping someone can help.

I'm wanting to set up 3 HD4's to all play different content in sync across as many screens. I'm wanting this to be left stand alone without connecting to the internet or having to be used with a laptop in place.

I'll be using a 5 port network switch to connect all the players together.

I've been going through all the tutorial videos yet i'm still a bit confused. My knowledge of networks is very little unfortunately. From what I've just watched i'll still have to assign static IP's to all my devices. How do i go about doing this?

Has anyone used the BS's in this manner and how did you go about it?

    You could use BrightAuthor classic to create a BrightWall and publish to local storage.

    That should create a set of directories, each corresponding to a player.

    Copy each directory to its corresponding SD card.

    If I'm not mistaken, setting players to DHCP (even where there is no DHCP server) sync would still work using zeroconf IP address. If that doesn't work you could always set static IP addresses like:

    192.168.10.10, 192.168.10.11, 192.168.10.12

    All should have subnet mask like: 255.255.255.0
