Year-Long Playlist

Hey Guys

I've got an XT244 going into an art installation that's supposed to have a 10-year lifespan.  The artist has 365 clips, and wants one clip to play on a specific day for 1 year, and then loop back around to the beginning on January 1st. That's not the issue, its just cumbersome.

My question:  Is there any way to loop back to the beginning of the schedule once those 365 days have elapsed?  I'm not looking forward to doing a 3650 day schedule just to make sure it doesn't go dark when its not supposed to.

I'm doing 1 presentation per day in the schedule currently.  Is this just way too clunky, and is there an easier/better way to do it?

Thanks!

"The artist has 365 clips, and wants one clip to play on a specific day for 1 year, and then loop back around to the beginning on January 1st."

Would that be one clip out of the 365 clips per day?

This looks like something that could be scripted.

Consistently naming image files would be key, as well as ensuring the on-board clock has the correct date and time.

As Bright Scripters said, a script is your friend here.

You could try something along the lines of the following which attempts to play a video based on the current reported system day:

Then modify it to also take account of the current month
