How to move a player to another network in BSN Content Cloud & BA:Connected

This is a tutorial for BSN Content Cloud subscribers/trial accounts.

1. Access the device's diagnostic webpage by typing in the IP address of the device. Log in with username: admin and password that you have set. If you do not have the password, use the device's serial number, if you have access to that.

2. Go to BA Connected portal, make sure you are the on previous network. delete the device from "network" and "device provisioning"

3. Go back to the Device's Diagnostic Webpage, go to "Diagnostics"
There would be an option to "Disable Autorun". Disabling autorun and script will reboot your player and allow you to wipe the storage of the device.

4. Assuming your storage card is in the player, press "Format Storage" to format it to exFAT or FAT32. This will wipe your SD card to new.

5. Then, navigate to the "Control" tab and press, "Factory Reset". This will wipe off any registry and network settings saved on the device for quick startup.

6. Once factory reset is done, the display of the device may show a default IP address, that wasn't assigned by you. If you did have specific network configuration, it will be wiped out.

7. Go to the IP address shown on the display and log in with "admin" and serial number of the device.

8. We are going to detour back to the BA Connected portal, and log into the new network where the device will be registered under now

  • make sure the device's new set up files are all correct, save them on to the computer, because we will be uploading it later
  • make sure you have uploaded the device's details under "Device Provisioning" and assigned the correct set up file

8. Back to the Device's Diagnostic Webpage, navigate to the "Diagnostic" tab, you will see "SD". Click on "Browse" and then retrieve the set up file for the device you saved earlier and "Upload" them.

9. Navigate to the "Control" Tab and "Reboot" the player. The player will now reset and take on the network configurations and set-up you have assigned. Wait for a few minutes for the device to finish setting up

Congratulations, your device is all ready to go and has been successfully reprovisioned under a new network.
