HD222 BrightSign player restarts on its own

In an attempt to switch from local (SD card) content to Simple Network Files from an IIS HTTP server, the HD222 player seems to have lost its mind.

At this time, it will play a simple presentation stored on the local SD card but it plays a few images and restarts.

I have attempted setting it up to play content from an IIS server and Wireshark network traces suggest that the content is being downloaded to the player but in this case nothing displays.

I have done a factory reset on the player using the suggested autorun.brs file and that reset seemed to complete but the behavior of the player is the same.

Any suggestions?

I did also do a firmware upgrade.  I'm running on firmware version 6.1.76.

I'm wondering if the fact that a player resets when checking for updated content on a web server has something to do with the behavior that I'm seeing.

can you send us the log.txt file from the sd card, as well as the file in the currentlog folder? Also, send us the current-sync.xml file from the sd card and from the webfolder you're downloading ffrom?

A batch of SD cards caused our players to reboot. Replaced the SD cards and rebooting stopped. Hope this helps

    Tony -

Thank you for your information.  After some testing, I have determined that some of our BrightSign players do not like an SD card that has been formatted on a Windows 10 PC.  I was able to get the problem to go away by purchasing new SD cards using the "factory" format of those cards.  This doesn't make logical sense but I was able to consistently create the "spontaneous reboot" behavior after formatting the SD cards on a Windows 10 PC.

    Thanks again for your reply.
