How do I run a BrightSign presentation on a laptop?

I have a Toshiba Satellite touchscreen laptop that I'm going to use to test touchable areas of my presentation. I've run my BrightSign box on multiple different screens and monitors with no problems, but I'm unsure of how to get this going on a laptop.

I have a BrightSign XT3 and have updated the firmware to the newest available.

I am not completely clear on what you are trying to do.  But to test a BrightSign touch screen Presentation you can connect the player to a regular, non-touch display and connect a mouse to the player and test touch zones and functionality that way.  The mouse is treated the same as the touch screen by the player.

Well I wanted to test the touch capabilities and the only touch screen I have is this laptop, but a mouse would work.

That being said, how do I connect a mouse to the BrightSign box? There's no where to plug it in.

Is this an XT1143?  Or an XT243?  We had some of the XT1143s here but I don't have any right now.  However, the XT1143 should have a full sized USB port and a micro-USB.  I tested touch on that unit.  I have not looked at the XT243 but the pictures do not show a USB port so I am not certain you can do touch with that.

XT243. It doesn't have a usb port. I'm trying to use a Surface Pro as a secondary monitor now.
