Can you add custom EDID info to BrightSign XT243?

I have custom 12.3" displays (1920x720) that won't display content sent from BrightSign boxes.  My supplier had sent me a EDID_B752.dat that contains the proper EDID information for the display I have.  Is there a way to add that custom EDID information to my BrightSign box so that my display will work properly?

    You can't add custom edid information to the unit like that. Often displays like that will take 1920x1080, but only look at the first 720 pixels of the signal. is that not the case with this display?
