XD232 Current sync issue

Hi all;  When I do a new build with simple networking the current sync file points to the correct HTML file in the pool directory.  However when I seek out that file and open it in a text editor all of the pointers seem to want to point back to my local PC hard drive and not the correct web directory.

Therefore when I try to update remote players they can't update because the pointers are wrong!  I am using BrightAuthor version 4.3.0.11

Any ideas why they are pointing to the local drive even though the current sync is showing the correct pointers for the assets?  I'm not exactly sure what that HTML file is that the current sync points to first, but it seems like it is broken.

Help!

Could you share the presentation here, so we could take a closer look?

From the BrightAuthor file menu, export to a local folder, zip the folder, and share with dropbox or similar.

This time I tried building a new project with playlist to a directory and posted it to the FTP.  Then I ran the "Set up Player" and pointed to that online directory for the current sync and media.  The player flashes the red light 10 times repeatedly after it checks the card.

    Thoughts?

Here is a link to the files I created with the "Set up Player" routine that points to the online directory.

I have both XD232 and HD 220 players.  of course they use different firmware versions but I am using the same BrightAuthor to create the playlists etc.  I want them all to pull from the same online FTP.

I've done this before successfully but I have since updated both firmware and the BrightAuthor app.

I put an SD card into the player (both the XD232 and the HD220) with the full build and all the pool folders populated and it plays just fine.  What it's not doing is seeing the changes I make on the server.  I do get an IP address on my network connection on the player without a card.

I just modified the playlist to play one file and uploaded the new entire build onto the FTP....I'll wait a few minutes to see if it sees the new sync file and plays the correct clip.

In such cases, serial debugging helps, as well as taking a look at the log in the diagnostics web page.

With that said, we use BrightSign Network with our clients because of many reasons. One of them is, because it works :)

Roughly $100 a year per player, pays for itself.

First month is grace period which you get for free.

All you need to do is email support@brightsign.biz and ask for a new BSN account.

Think of the time you already put into trouble shooting...

The new build seems to be pulling down the correct playlist now. Not sure what the hiccup was....cold have been the ASCII encoding on upload, although it was set to Auto, and I changed it to force Binary.
