we have a webpage which works perfectly in Firefox, Chrome, IE and other browsers/devices without problems.
It's not possible to show this page successfully on a XD1032 (latest firmware) device.
Even the preview@BrightAuthor fails with error:
Object doesn't support property or method 'addEventListener'
at jquery-3.1.1.min.js
Which state-of-the-art browser-engine is used by the global market leader of digital signage in it's products and how can we fix this problem?

The players are using chromium. Is it possible to post the page here or send it to support for us to test?
On the player, you can log into the javascript console, similar to using inspect in chrome, at port 2999. But first, you have to turn it on under file, properties, html sites, enable javascript console.
You can then log into the player ip address, at port 2999, and click on the link shown. You can then go to the console to see if there are any errors reported.
If you log into the diagnostics server on the player, you can go to the log tab, to see if there are any errors reported.

Preview is just using windows internet explorer engine. It's not anything native to the brightsign. The first thing I'll be asked for when I log a bug is a copy of the content used to duplicate the problem so if you can provide something that will help.
It's a pretty regular occurrance that building our own presentations to mimic a problem a customer reports often leads to no issue being seen on our end.
