Tagged Playlists & BSN WebUI/BrightAuthor Interoperability

What are current interoperability limitations of Tagged Playlists in BrightAuthor vs. the WebUI?

1. I can open a Tagged Playlist created in the WebUI in BrightAuthor but I can't save it back to BSN.

2. I can create a Tagged Playlist in BrightAuthor then save it to BSN, but then if I try to immediately save it again to BSN, I always get an error, "Unable to update tagged playlist."

Here is a screen-shot of the error.

On the BSN account, permissions can be granted for access through BrightAuthor, that are different from the ones granted for the BSN web UI.

Look for BA Access Level when creating a new user, or in an existing user's properties, in the General tab.

It is possible that the users doesn't have enough privileges for BA.

    Thanks for the hint.

I'm in the Administrator group and my BA permissions are full. That doesn't seem to be an issue.

To further explore the error, I'll create a test user with a Role that would be expected to create and save tagged playlists. Maybe there is a permissions bug for Administrators.

If that doesn't work, I'll install BA in a VirtualBox Win7 32-bit machine and see if I can replicate the problem. Maybe it's my OS (Win7 64-bit) or machine configuration.

If you'd like, I could quickly test here, by logging in as you...

Further investigation and cross-machine testing indicates this behavior is a BrightAuthor bug. What is the proper method for an end-user to file a bug report with BrightSign?

I created a ticket from this post so support can verify the report and log the bug as necessary.  Thanks, Louis!

We use our own BSNEE 4.4.0 and BA 4.6.0.15.  Our folks are seeing this behaviour as well.
