Audio volumes on XD1032

I have an XD1032 Firmware 5.1.65 and BA 4.4.0.15    I have 2 video zones in the same presentation.  Both videos play. The audio in zone 1 is HDMI and plays ok. I can control the volume on the Monitor with its remote. Audio is clean. The audio from the second zone via the 'audio' O/P of the BS unit is distorted and I do not seem to be able to control the level of this O/P using the software ...... Video initial O/P Max Vol O/P etc. I have tried setting all O/P's to '0' but the audio is still distorted and full level. Both Videos are mp4 encoded. Any help would be appreciated....

If you change which video plays in which zone, does the problem stay with analog? If you're publishing just one video on the analog size, it still distorted? In the brightauthor project that you're using, does each zone only have one audio output checked, and is the hdmi set to passthrough or stereo?

Thanks......I shall do some more testing tomorrow - 270317 -  09:00 - 13:00 GMT and will post after... I'll do this with the present version of BA and firmware 5.1.65 first, then if no solution will upgrade BA and the firmware and test again changing the video zones etc..etc......

Also worth a check, is the sample rate of your two file. I've had it before when one has been 48k and the other being 44.1k the two used to be slaved so you would get a weird output, maybe that's still the same...

Shaun, correct, you can't mix sample rates. Sometimes you get distortion, and sometimes you can get loss of audio.
