I need to change the IP address of several XD1132 units that are in remote offices. They are currently set with static addresses and we need to make them use DHCP.
What is the best method to do this?

There are multiple ways to accomplish that.
Choice of method, depends on the type of remote access that you are using.
Are the players on the BrightSign Network?
How do you publish to those players?
The players are not on the Brightsign network.
I believe they use Brightauthor for publishing to the players.
Just want to mention that I'm not that familiar with the Brightsign players. I don't manage the content as I'm on the IT side. We are doing office refreshes with full IP address changes which is why we need to update.
Thanks.
Please confirm that they are using Local File Networking to publish from BrightAuthor to their players.
Changing players configuration without knowing the workflow could backfire :)
As Udi mentioned, best to make sure, else you'll have to visit each player and reapply configuration manually via its storage card. Sounds easy, but sometimes players are mounted in difficult-to-access areas.
In the Publish tab in BrightAuthor, check what view they're in on the lavender tab below the Publish tab.
Local Storage = write directly to player's storage card locally (no network publish)
Local Networking = Local File Networking (publish over LAN)
Simple Networking = Simple File Networking (publish files to put on web server, player pulls content from web serer)
BrightSign Network = BrightSign Network :)
After you're comfortable with the situation, this article describes the different methods you can use to remotely apply configuration files:
