WiFi connectivity for Hotel Lobby wifi which requires terms and conditions acceptance?

Hello,

I'm installing a player in a hotel lobby, but the general wifi available requires that terms and conditions are agreed to in a browser window before network connection can occur.

I believe this is preventing the player from connecting to the network. Is there a way around this on the Brightsign side? Or do I need to insist that the hotel provide me with a wifi connection that does not require a browser window to be opened and to have to accept the terms and conditions?

Thanks,

-Dan

If you can talk to a IT person at the hotel that knows what is going on, all you need to do is give them the MAC address of the player, and they can whitelist the player to not have to authenticate on the wireless network.  Unfortunately in most cases the Hotel WiFi is farmed out to a 3rd party, and sometimes they are not that easy to work with.

Wireless works, and then someone changes something, and then it doesn't work.

Wired connection is the way to go.

Is network over power lines an option?

Sometimes that actually work very well.
