We have multiple people with BrightAuthor installed on their computers, and we use Local Network when publishing to our BrightSign. The problem with this is that the schedule keeps resetting whenever someone publishes. As an example, let's say that I create a schedule to have Presentation A show all day today, but Presentation B show all day tomorrow. I save and publish. I then close my BrightAuthor. I then start my BrightAuthor. If I go to the Publish tab, the schedule will show that whatever Presentation that I have open is going to play all day every day. Is the schedule not being saved to the BrightSign? Is there a way to have BrightAuthor read from the BrightSign what the currently programmed schedule is?

Bright Scripters Multiple people publishing with BA is not an ideal workflow...
Sounds like you could benefit from use of the BrightSign Network, where you can define users' roles, as well scheduling content through media feeds.
Is BSN an option for you? (Budget, Security)
If you share more information about what is it that you present on the screen, we could potentially work with you on streamlining your workflow.

J J It's more of a primary and backup editor situation.
As for BrightSign Network, I don't see why one should have to pay more for the capability of BrightAuthor reading the published schedule from the BrightSign itself.

Bright Scripters I see where you are coming from, but there are benefits to using BSN in the situation that you are describing.
Are you simply publishing images, or is it more involved than that?

J J Just sharing some updated information, just in case if it helps anyone.
There is no way to pull the schedule from the BrightSign, But, in BrightAuthor, when you are in the Publish tab, if you look at the main menu at the top, you will see a new Schedule option. From there you can save and open schedules. Thankfully, we save everything to the SAN. So we created the schedule just like we wanted it and saved it to the SAN. We just have to remember to go an open the saved schedule the first time we go to the Publish tab.
