HDMI out of CATV box to HDMI input on XT1143. Sent player full screen presentation with HDMI input and there is a very bad lip sync issue? Are there settings to adjust for this?

What firmware are you testing on, how quickly does the audio go out of sync? after a day? after a few hours? less than an hour?
good question. I was only alerted to the issue so i am not sure how quickly it became out of sync. Not sure what FW we are on. I will have to check next time i am out.
We are seeing this issue too. CATV box over HDMI gets 1-3 seconds out of sync on audio within hours. Powering off the cable box and turning it back on usually resolves it for a little bit.
I'll be able to give you more info about the BrightSign firmware version when our network comes back up shortly. XT1143 as well.

Still seeing the issue. Running firmware 6.2.94 and autorun version 7.7.18
Max, just sent you a different firmware release to test. It's not public.
Additionally, you can try setting the video output setting on the cable box to match the brightsign. So, if the cable box is output 720p at 59.94, set the brightsign to the same output.
If you have the option of setting the audio output of the cable box, set it to pcm, if that's an option.
The test firmware is working perfectly. No audio sync issues at all.

I'm having the same issue on an XT1143 that we just installed. It is running firmware 6.2.147
Barry, you can open a support ticket as well... but what we need to know is what hardware is attached to the player.
Is it just hdmi?
are you using hdmi extenders, or any hdmi splitters, or other hardware between the source and player, or the player and output?
is the av sync constant, after several hours, after several days?
what brand and model tv are you using?
can you check if the cable box has an audio output setting?
can you also confirm what video output mode the cable box is set to? for example is it outputting 1280x720@59.94?
And, if so, does changing the brightuthor project output to match the box output affect playback?

Here's what I know for now:
We just installed this unit with a Dish Network receiver plugged into the HDMI input of the XT1143. After a few hours the audio and video get out of sync. I can reboot the player to put it back in sync, but then it drifts off again.
The TV is an LG 43LVC340C. I don't believe the Dish reciever has an audio setting and I'm not sure what the video setting is. I'm not onsite right now, but I'll find out.
I'm remoted into the Bright Author computer and apparently the player is not running the firmware that I thought. I'm downloading the latest firmware now and installed it.
