Brightsign TD1012 (HD1010) won't boot after firmware upgrade

Today I attempted to upgrade the firmware on a brand new bright sign TD1012 (which, to my knowledge, uses an HD1010 internally). Now, whenever I try to turn it on the red LED flashes 11 times (which signifies a WiFi related error) and the power LED on the back of the unit next to the power switch flashes.

I am concerned that I corrupted the firmware because when I downloaded the firmware update from the BrightSign website the update file was called "update.rok", while the release notes for that update said the file was called "update.bsfw". The difference in file type might be why my TD1012 no longer boots.

Any suggestions on how I can restore the unit to a usable state are greatly appreciated.

what firmware did you install? The td1012 only supported firmware up till 3.10.45 because there was a problem with 3.11.11 and the dvi screen in the case.  If you installed 3.11.11, you'd need to downgrade to 3.10.45.
