If we have our 8 tvs on our video wall and being fed their sources from a switcher, why wouldn’t signage just be another source on the rack? Why would we need 8 players?

    An 8 display "video wall" usually has one large picture displayed across all 8 screens.  In that case if you use one player per display you get a higher possible resolution.  Also, to display one picture from a single player across all 8 displays then your screens must support "tile mode"(LG), "matrix mode"(NEC), "video wall"(Samsung).  If your 8 screens do not support video wall and you want one picture across all 8, you need one player per screen.
