publish schedule w/o interruption

 Often we publish schedules that use new presentations on future dates, but leave the current presentation in place for 'today'. If we publish the new schedule the current presentation starts over once the new schedule is downloaded. Is there a way to publish a schedule such that current presentations play uninterrupted if unchanged in the new schedule?

Alternatively, is there a way to schedule a publication (perhaps via a script) in the future, achieving the same result.

    The answer would depend on the application.

    If all you present are images and videos, then scheduling via an MRSS feed should streamline the process.
