What files do I need to upload?

Hi guys

When I make presentations, I do several file transfers forth and back to the SD card, until the show runs perfectly. That's done by taking in and out the SD card from PC to player.

I will now transfer the files via web browser, as it is easier, but also more gentle for the SD card. Do any of you know, which files should be transferred each time you make changes to the presentation? It is all changes in the presentation, except for the mediafiles.

I have tried only to transfer new rootfiles to the SD card, but that's not enough, because after a player reset, it won't start up the show.

I hope You have any suggestions

Greetings

    Steffen,

BrightSign provide a workflow that should work for you.

Take some time to understand how Local File Networking works, which would save you a lot of time in the long run.

The player would be on the same local network as your computer, and you would simply click on the Publish button, to update the program on the player.

You would save the time spent on handling the SD card, and waiting for the player to bootup.

With small media files, the process is instant.

Thanks, the problem is that I don't have enough time in the calendar to deeply go into the stuff, because our customers need solutions here and now, and I'm the only one to provide the presentations in the company.

Therefore the forum here, is awesome, because You are able to perhaps get good answers from experienced people quite fast (I have only worked with Brightsign for about 1,5 month)

But I see clearly, that the link You have suggested is very good indeed, I will take some time with that

    Thanks again
