Using web UI for initial setup -can't login

Hi all,

Total newbie here, just received an LS423 which needs to be installed into a retail shop tomorrow so I thought I'd get familiar with it before I arrive on site and am expected to know what I'm doing. I've connected the unit to a display via HDMI and to a local network via ethernet. I've located the unit on the network but when I browse to it I'm asked for a username and password.

Anyone got any idea what the default username and password is? I know that BrightAuthor is usually used for initial setup however I can only find a PC version of the software and I have nothing but macs around me at the moment.

  Try user name admin and as for password the UID. This "UID" (serial number) is located at the bottom of the player.

  James, if you're still checking this thread, can you tell me if the unit had an sd card inside when you logged into it? If there's an sd card present, formatted correctly, it should take you to the setup page when you log into that address, and not to the diag server login. But, you're not the first person to indicate you're getting the usernane and password screen.
