What would be the best/ easiest way to controll LED stripes? I am using GPIO switches that trigger videos and should also trigger LED stripes on/off.

Bright Scripters Please post info about your LED stripes. The current draw would be a consideration.
A link to the product would be helpful.
So you want to turn on LED stripes, when the player is starting to play the video; Correct?

JRB Technical For example, one way I have done this.
Use an Arduino to be intermediary between the LED strips and BrightSign GPIO.
The Adafriut Trinket is perfect for this, and only $7. It can control the Adafruit NeoPixel Digital LED strips.
It is fairly easy to program the Trinket to look at a couple of GPIO pins from the BrightSign, and then trigger different colors or sequences of looks to the LED strips.
The NeoPixel LED strips are a little more money then other LED strips, but still reasonable, and offer lots of flexibility in programming via the Trinket. The NeoPixels come in RGB and RGBW strips with different spacing, as well as some other form factors depending on what you are trying to do. The LED strips would be powered from a separate power supply.

Stefan will the 5V trinket work with Brightsign GPIO signals? How would I wire that?
