LS322 no audio output

I'm trying to program an interactive function on the LS322 using buttons to select between three files.  I'm getting absolutely no audio out.  I've tried skipping the interactive and just loading a single file.  There is still no audio out.  I have the LS422 video player, and I can program it to work on that--of course the screen remains blank.  Am I missing something obvious here?  I can't seem to get any audio output from the LS322.

Are you using the 3.5mm stereo output, or SPDIF?

I'm seeing that the default output assignment has SPDIF turned off.

Since there is no HDMI output, you may want to turn HDMI audio off. Just in case :)

Already been there and done that.   I'm using the 3.5 mm stereo output and the Analog Stereo box is the only one checked.

The LS322 is somewhat challenging in the sense that it is hard to tell whether it is working at all...

Can you access the Diagnostics Web Server over the network?

If you put your audio file on a blank SD, and boot up, does it play?

Are you monitoring both analog and SPDIF?

I have put a single audio file on the SD card as a non-interactive presentation using BrightAuthor.  When I do that there is still no audio out.  Should it work if I just put the audio file on a blank SD card without going through BrightAuthor?  I haven't tried that.

I don't have a way to monitor the SPDIF output, which I believe requires devices which take TOSLINK connectors.

Video files normally play by placing them on a blank SD card.

It could be an interesting troubleshooting step to do the same with an audio file, on the LS322.

Going back to the diagnostics web page, you may be able to find a log entry that shed some light on the issue.
