LS423 Device Setup and "cheking file system" after reboot

we have 8 LS423 player with 6.2.63 firmware in a shop that worked well with Brightauthor and local network publishing.

After a shutdown and reboot, sometimes one player (a different player every time) instead of normally displaying the video, it enters in the Device Setup.
I ran the Device Setup without problems over ethernet connection and with Brightauthor I can send a new presentation to the player, but after player restarts, monitor show the message "CHECKING FILE SYSTEM" and after it remains on a black screen

It is a bug?

Is there a way to fix this error without removing the SD card from the reader and reformatting it?

thanks

    Hi Matteo,

I can think of a few things:

The fact that the problem shows on multiple players, it may be a network related issue.

If you are using DHCP, there may be a limited number of available IP addresses, and players IP, may be assigned with some delay.

There may be a network device that is slow to respond, which may need to be rebooted. (Switch, router)

Are you using wired or wireless network?

There is a more recent firmware available for the LS423, which may perform better in your environment

the players have Fixed IP on the wired LAN.

When this problem occurs, player takes DHCP address and enters in the Device Setup.

I will try to update the firmware, but about the message "CHECKING FILE SYSTEM",

there is a solution without remove the SD card and reformatting it?

You should be able to upload the firmware to the SD card, using the diagnostics web server page (DWS), if that is enabled.

Then you would reboot the player from the DWS.
