Synced Dynamic Playlist

I have 2 players that are synced each running dynamic playlists. I tried putting each dynamic playlist in a video list that was set to play through the whole playlist before exiting and resyncing but I noticed there would be lag after several videos had played.

So I want to be able to do a sync command after each video plays, but the issue is getting the master and slave to start at the same time.

My thought was to use a variable in the sync command that would reset when it got back to the start of the list, and the slave presentation would wait for the reset sync command to start.

Im just not sure how to accomplish that, is there a way to use the index value of a dynamic playlist (since in the Video List you can start at a specific index value) or check to see how many videos are in a dynamic playlist?

    Hi Brair,

     

    You could try having the video list send out a zone message, every time a video starts to play, and trigger a sync from the zone message.

    With that said, is there a reason why you are not using BrightWall? It may be the right solution here.

    The project is running 2 BS players going to 6 screens in a 1x6 layout, so we need to make use a custom Layout which I don't think is available with Brightwalls.

    You are correct. Custom layouts are not available in BrightWall, but you could create the video, so the special layout is already in the video, and play your videos as a single full screen BA zone...

    Just a thought, without knowing much about the workflow, and how often changes are requested.
