Let live text data control content on player

Hi there,

Is there a way that a live text (coming from a rss feed) controls the content of my presentation ?

I know you can write the live text in a variable, but then I have the same question: can a variable controls content.

So if variable = "video1" the my first video is played, if variable="video2" then my second video is played.

Or even change complete presentations when a variable (or live text) changes

    BrightAuthor Conditional Targets can be used with user variables, to accomplish what you need.

    Ok, nice, but with what kind of event I have to start with ( i don't have butttons, udp, serial,...)

    Do you mean the events under the playlist, or the events at the left or the user event,

    can you tell me where to start ?

    I only want to use the rss live text (or variable)

    Hi Johan,

    What you need is an parser script which parses the value from the rss feed and writes that value to a variable.
    In BrightAuthor you can use 'Conditional Targets' or 'Video Play File' to selected the right video file.

    Is there an example of the parser file? I need to do the same thing.
