2 models, 1 Group?

I have an existing XD232 running on the Brightsign Network. If I want to add a second unit to the same Group, getting the same content, must it be the same type of unit? Or can I get a newer model (ie LS423) and have them in the same group?

    We mix models in the same group.  We have hundreds of Gen2 players in with the newer Gen3 models in one group.  In general we have had no issues.  We try and take care to build our Presentations to the lowest model so as not to call any features not present on the old models.

     

    Occasionally we have seen a player flood our BSNEE server with thousands of copies of the raw log file.  BrightSign suggested this could be due to mixing models within a group but so far we have not ruled that in or out.  It only happens rarely.

    You can mix models in a group with the EXCEPTION of the HDx10 models, which CANNOT be in the same group with Series 2 or newer players.
