HD224 stuck on Simple Networking setup in progress after reprovisioning device

I have a set of 4 players that I was about to setup. They will use simple file netowrking to access a web folder and the presentations are uploaded via ftp.

My first device setup without issue. I added the new device to the network and then reprovisioned it so it would point to the web folder. After it reset it worked.

Now when I try to do this for the other 3 players they all are hanging on the Simple File Networking setup in progress screen. I am doing this through BA Connected and I go into the device itself from the dashboard and then force the reprovision.

I have checked the files in the web folders accessable via url and they show the json and it looks like what the one working player looks like.

What can I do to troubleshoot this issue?

Thanks,

Nate

If one player laded the presentation, then your web folder is probably fine.

Doesn't the Log tab in player's web interface provide any clue?

Are all players on same subnet and can access the web server?

You could try the Diagnostics tab to ping the server from the player.

Thanks for the reply. I will keep those tips in mind for the next time I have some issues.

I should have closed this topic, I was able to resolve the issue by deleting and redoing the setups for the players that did not work. While I was not able to figure out what specifically was the issue as I checked the setups to see if there were any errors but the ones did not work I copied from the first one and just changed the web folder. Once I recreated new setups for each player with the same data they all worked.

On a second question while you are here, I setup these players on my own network and created the setup files I selected "Use current device settings" for the network configuration. I then setup the players and ran them on a couple different routers and each time they assigned a new ip dynamically so when these are shipped out to the clients they just plug it into their wired internet and it will work without me having to provision new network information onto the devices?

This is my first fully remote deployment so just want to make sure it will all work as expected.

    Thanks for the help.
