Multiple LS5s have no network or picture

We have 9 LS5s that no longer connect to network after a power outage (ethernet diagnostic reports "Ethernet interface cannot reach gateway"). We redid BrightSign unit setup in BrightAuthor with known working network settings and have tried firmware updates, factory resets, and new SD cards. Brand new LS5s work when installed.

Hello, as per your post i give you some info please see below...

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I understand that you have 9 LS5s that are not connecting to the network after a power outage. You have already tried redoing the BrightSign unit setup in BrightAuthor with known working network settings, firmware updates, factory resets, and new SD cards, but the issue persists. It seems that the problem is specific to these 9 LS5s. Have you checked the network cables and connections? It might be worth verifying if there are any physical issues causing the Ethernet interface to not reach the gateway. ADP Workforce Now Login

If the issue persists, please provide more details about the power outage and any other troubleshooting steps you have taken.

The power outage was caused by an electrical storm. Our network infrastructure is on redundant UPSs and generator power, but devices such as the LS5s are on unprotected circuits.

We have also tried relocating the devices to different physical ports, replacing the ethernet cables, changing their addresses, changing the type of display they are connected to, replacing their HDMI cables, checking our organization's firewall settings, reconfiguring network ports in our switches, replacing the LS5s' power supplies, and formatting the SD cards with different filesystems.

As of yesterday we have two new LS5 units that are unresponsive after a firmware update; the symptom is exactly like the other devices.

I have five LS425s that are no longer connecting to a known SSID that eight HS124s on the same WIFI network with WD-104 antennas connect just fine without issues.  If I create a mobile hotspot with the exact same SSID and password using my Windows 11 PC they connect to that just fine.  Any thoughts?

We ended up having to downgrade and force installation of firmware version 9.0.75 ("Minimum Compatible")

So that certainly sounds like a bug that needs some squishing.  :-O
