Hi, I'd like to know if when we enable the ethernet function, it would be possible to create a system with several controller accessing content from only one server?
Ethernet support is planned for 3rd quarter of this year. The ability is access content from a central server is on our todo list.

It's possibile to solve the ethernet issue using a sort of ethernet CF card adapter? I'm not sure if this kind of device exist.. the best is a CF card that your brightsign could see as just DISK DATA and other side ethernet could see as Network Disk...
I founded a device that host Ethernet connector on CF slot, could helps your developement decisions?
Of course the best is to receive a firmware upgrade able to manage ethernet directly from brightsign and I know your goal to have this for the 3 quarter of this year that's just started.. then we can wait after the end of the summer.

Giuseppe

Yes, there are CF network cards. The soundbridge M500, M1000, and M2000 use CF network cards.
I don't have any information about support for 3rd party cards. But, since the brightsign has its own ethernet port, that will most likely be enabled before support for 3rd party network cards are added.

Ethernet is not enabled on the HD600. If ethernet is a critical feature, the HD2000 is a better solution.

Is there a timeframe for ethernet to be enabled on the HD2000?
