    The User Guide documentation has no current information for synchronization through the ethernet connection on the HD1010.

    Hi,

    that's all groovy and I'm sure will work for me tomorrow however,  Can I synchronise without having an image or blank inbetween the video's end and it restarting? the material is all of identical length, we have 3 projectors onto a wall and the centre screen is flanked by two identical videos, so it's all in view at the same time. Is the still mage just offering a buffer (time wise) for the videos to all start together?

    thoughts?

    You don't need any image in between videos. If there's no black frames in your video, you shouldn't see any black between the video's end and restarting. Do you have brightsigns now, or are you trying to decide?

    I have 8 HD 1010s.
    5 are stand alone units with looping video and utilising RS232 controls for projectors.
    3 are running a synchro. incidentally I set this up as a UDP event rather than the method shown here, the local reseller advised me of this method. It did the sync fine but then after a certain period, one or more of the videos will freeze. The system is a 3 screen projection (side by side) the outside screens are the same video and the centre is a different one. The two videos are exactly the same length (not sure abou frame totals being perfectly matching). They are all networked and firmware updated, they're using Sandisk 8GB SDHC disks, 15Mb/s that were all brand new out of the box and diskchecked. I tried new media and still the sequence freezes after a certan amount of time, usually around 2 hours or more.

    any thoughts on that one?

    I reloaded them without the sync and they're playng back perfectly. now my issues are fixing this sync problem, fixing the lack of RS232 control (which I found on another forum page - debug issue I expect in the autorun file) and updating the time so that they schedule on/off properly (I think I have a script to load where I can enter in the local time, again from forum). lots to do. While I have you, what are the pin outs of the Roku HD1010?  2=Tx 3=Rx? just to take that annoyance out of the mix. he system will be fabulous once these problems are sorted.

    oh and I'm an accoun manager who has landed this task. think it's going pretty well considering.

    What is this lack of serial control issue? Did you say you did turn off debug mode to fix the extra serial output issue. The rs232 port is mapped the same way your computer is, a DTE device.

    You are using the brightauthor project for the sync? The actual synchronize command should be what you use but that doesn't explain this lockup issue. I'm attaching a link to a newer brightauthor release. Please update and republish your project. I've never heard of a lockup caused by using sync. Does the freeze occur at the end of a video, or during a video?

    it is not a problem of synchronization of video but does anyone know of any automatable dimmer compatible with HD1010?

    Does anyone know if Dmx Controller Dimmer Kit K8039 Power Light or the Daly system is compatible with the HD1010?

    Fluorescent need a dimmer that is automated and compatible with HD1010.

    HMS makes a board that you can connect to the brightsign so you can send DMX commands through this board to whatever lighting is attached to the board. This would allow you to send lighting instructions on command, or when specific files play, or finish playing, or using the schedule.

    We're also doing testing with support for zwave. We have a zwave controller we've done work with. This is in earlier stages. When do you need this?
