What unit to choose?

Have a customer that is trying to accomlish this with a LCD panel in a office building lobby.

TV should turn on 7 am and a 2 hr. b/w mix of old movies should loop. When some presses a momentary button under the display, the video should fade to a directory still image, JPEG i presume, stay there for 2 min and then fade back to the movie again. The movie doesn't need to be paused, or whatever is easiest. Everything should then shut down at 10 pm.
Was thingking of just using a smaller Crestron processor to control the power commands through serial to the display and the player. The processor also have IO ports for the button press, so it can send out a serial command at a button press to switch to the JPEG image, wait 2 min and then issue another command to fade back to the movie again.

Will the above idea work with one of the players, and which one is the smallest player that can accomplish that. Thinking of the fade in and out as well.
The customer is on a budget so...

Thanks! <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

    You could do this with a 810.  For the fade, we don't currently have a fade for videos, but you may be able to get similar functionality fading to a partially transparent png file when returning to the video.

    If you don't need the Brightsign to handle the timing of the power up and down, then you can use a 410.
