External usb drive and streaming video in via ethernet

Someone told me he heard you can plug in an external USB drive and play from it. Also I heard you can stream video into it through the ethernet connection. Anyone know if this is true? I am using an HD1010 Danny Hays

Yes, you can use mass storage devices including external hard drives. No, you can't currently stream video to the unit. You can input a video signal from a camera, or cable box, or satellite box, or anything that has an svideo or composite output. This requires the video adapter that plugs into the usb port on the 1010 or 810.
