HD210 Syncing 4 Videos

This maybe a simple question or it may not:

I've got 4 videos that need to be synced through the Bright Sign HD210.
What I have done so far is to load video1.ts through video4.ts unto their
corresponding SD cards. So video1.ts is in SD card Number 1 and so on and so forth. I downloaded the sync script from this link

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.brightsign.biz/downloads/synchronize.zip">http://www.brightsign.biz/downloads/synchronize.zip</a><!-- m -->

and have placed the "Master" script onto SD Card 1. And then I placed the "Slave" script onto the other three.

Is there anything else that I need to do?

ps. the resolution we are working with is
1280 x 720 24p

Hope to hear from someone soon!

The sync scripts are less user friendly than the sync project files that are posted on our BrightAuthor page under Support.

Please update your units to 3.1.73 or later, and download and install BrightAuthor.

You can open the master project file in BrightAUthor and change the video to match your video, and the same can be done for the slave project file.

    Hi Lyndon,

    thanks for the reply.

I am running Verson 3.1.73.  Can you not help me with my problem?

I don't want to use Bright Author as the projectors are in a Museum Gallery

and the exhibition is up for 8 months.  We do not want to allocate a computer to this piece for almost a year.

So can I ask if I am missing a step in the script or is it something else?

Once the projects are setup, you don't need to use BrightAuthor again. I just figured it would be easier to setup the initial sync projects with BrightAuthor vs the sync scripts...

About the scripts, yes, all you need to do is put the master on the main unit, and the slave file on the slaves.

You'll need to edit the scripts, in any text editor, to set the video file to the correct name.

Also, the scripts set the IP address on the Brightsign. So, you'll need to change the IP address in the slave script so it's different on each of the slaves.

Finally, there's a videomode setting in the script as well for the resolution. That will need to be changed to "1280x720x60p". With those changes, you should be all set. Obviously, the units all need to be plugged into a hub or switch or router.

    thanks for the reply!

I wasn't aware that I could set it up in Bright Author and then disconnect the computer afterwards!  That's fantastic.  I've installed Bright Author on my Mac using VMware.  What do i do next?

So does all the information still live/stored on the SD CARDS in the Bright Sign HD210?

So how do I sync the 4 videos in Bright Author?

    (i am using 3.1.73)

    Hello,

I am currently in Australia installing 4 screens that all need to be synced as well. I actually need the exact same thing that andwerlee needs. Why is there no documentation on how to set this up? You have it listed in the firmware update but thats it. Syncing multiple displays is nowhere to be found in all of your documentation.

I tried what you said with loading the master file in Bright Author, I changed the video file to the one I am using, but then now what? I really need to get this up ASAP.

    thanks

We are updating the documentation for synchronization. I added a sticky post in this forum with screenshots from BrightAuthor showing how to setup sync.

We will be adding videos to the support site showing how to use different features including synchronization.
