HD2000 - Changing Zones mid Presentation

I have a network of HD2000 units being updated by Brightsign Network Manager.

I have a very simple setup, 2 zones (one of them being an RSS feed).

I have some video files that I would like to play without the RSS feed being present.

So it would go something like this.

EnableZones
NetworkTimerPeriodic 5 Download
NetworkTimerPeriodic 5 Heartbeat
VideoMode 1920x1080x60i
DefineZone VideoOrImages 0,0,1920,900
ViewMode 1
AudioOutput 0
Volume 1
ImageMode 1
SlideInterval 4
Transition 3
image1.bmp
image2.bmp
image3.bmp
DefineZone RSS 80,920,1800,140 3 0 4 <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.ctv.ca/generic/generated/freeheadlines/rdf/allNewsRss.xml">http://www.ctv.ca/generic/generated/fre ... ewsRss.xml</a><!-- m -->
NetworkTimerPeriodic 1 RSS

After image 3.bmp, I would like to play a full screen video.

Can I re-define the zones after the network timer and enter the additional script there.

Or do I need to goto a autoschedule.txt script?

Thanks for your guideance!

Jon

You would have to use an autoschedule file and upload it along with your playlists to your account, using the advanced page.

    Thanks for your response Lyndon....

I understand that I can use the autoschedule format, however my concern is the transitions between each .bsp it will be abrupt(due to the change time will be based on time not the end of a group of slides), is there anyway to ensure there is proper transition?  If not I will make the playlists longer and reduce the number of times the transitions will occur.

Or can I do the following.

    1. Within the Autoplay.bsp file, can I call other .bsp files.

    eg.

    group1.bsp

    group2.bsp

    etc.

Then group1 will finish and goto group 2.  Eliminating poor transitions?

Also, if this doesnt work, can I use a CSV file in anyway?

    Thanks

Does anybody have any experience with changing the number of zones and type of zones throught out the day/presentation?  I know I can do it with the autoschedule.txt file, however there are abrupt transitions due to time is the trigger for change not the end of a group of slides.

    Thanks

The only other way to do this would be to write a custom script. There would still be abrupt transitions, just possibly shorter if you were manually deleting and creating zones.
