brightauthor beta 1.0.2.13 issues

a couple of issues with this version...

1) in the network preferences dialog, the example for web folder spec shows a "/" at the end of the folder URL. if one specifies a "/" at the end, the unit tries to retrieve the files with an extra slash (e.g., http://site.com/folder//file) and gets an error. the slash needs to be omitted. the dialog box ought to be changed in sign properties and in the edit/preferences dialog.

2) the prior version gave the option of not replacing files that hadn't changed when publishing a project. this option doesn't seem to be there anymore so one has to wait while large files are re-written, which can be very tedious when finetuning a project and making numerous small changes

3) still appears to be no good way to update a text ticker.

    Mike,

That error must have been caused by something else. The extra slash isn't a problem. It's always been there and is there in the 2.x beta. If I copy and paste the url with the xtra slash into my browser, it works fine.

It's the 2.x beta that gives you the choice of not copying again, not this version, nor any earlier versions that I can recall. The 2.x isn't on the website yet.

You are correct that there isn't direct edit of text files.

    Mike at. al.,

Reade the thread at http://forums.roku.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=26273 for a similar issue with double forward slash before the file name.
