A way to display webpage in a zone?

Is there a way through custom code or some method to display a website on the brightsign? I know the brightsign doesn't have a browser in it but is there some way to make this work? Thanks.

We don't currently render html so there's no way to display a webpage on the brightsign, unless you were using some program elswhere to take a snapshot of the page that was saved as an image, then that image could be displayed on the brightsign.

I was thinking that it didn't render html, but could I make a zone that calls to an external image file?  For example have a zone that grabs some <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.example.com/testimage.jpg">www.example.com/testimage.jpg</a><!-- w --> and refresh that call every 60 seconds?

You could do that with a custom script, or a customization to the script that brightauthor uses. If the file name were the same, then yes, it could grab it every 60 seconds.

You could also use a media rss feed, that you could add to your zone and it would display the most recent copy of the file in the feed.

Are you looking to do this with a script only, or do you mean to use it with brightauthor?

Either example would be helpful for me.  Currently using the Author as just started playing with it.
