some video don't run

I'm using britghsing 810 with elotouch monitor to play several videos. Brightsign monitor is connect to the monitor with DVI HDMI cable. When I'm using a long cable (4m) all the video play but the quality is not good. When i'm using a short cable (1 m) the quality is good, but some video don't play (dark screen and brightsign return to home page All the video have the same mpeg compression (with compressor) 15 mb Any help 1

    You are saying the length of the video cable affects whether or not content plays?  I can't think of the cable length affecting file playback.

    So, on the short cable, selecting a video, that doesn't play, gives you a black screen, then it's back to the previous file? What resolution is the player set to, and does that display support this resolution over DVI?

    If you're using 1080i or 1080p, try setting the output to 720p.  Then, check again if the cable length makes a difference.

    I was using 1080p because our videos are in 1080p on final cut pro and compressor.
    I try setting 720 p and all videos are playing with this resolution.
    But video quality is less good and not so fluid.

    I think the problem might be with your video cable.

    You need higher quality hdmi cables for higher resolutions, and for progressive resolutions vs interlaced. So, 1080i doesn't require as high a quality as 1080p. The same can be said of length. You could try 1080i and see if that works.

    Does your display support 1080p @ 29.97. If so, that's the best 1080p output on the brightsign.
