Looping a synced video.

Hi, I have a system set up with 10 Roku HD1010 set up as slave units all running of a master Roku HD1010 which are all running the same 2 videos. 1 a start video which I needs to run continuously untill a GPIO triggers the next video and when finished return to the first video. I have no problem with the master unit running seamless video for the first sceen video, but all the slave units only run the first video once and stops. Evan when they cycle threw the second video and retun to the first sceen, the video will not run. It Looks almost like they are waiting for the syncronization at the end of the video. Is there something I need to set in the bright sign software to get the first video to continuously loop. any info/help would be great. Regards, Rohan

Seamless looping and sync don't go together. The master unit needs to send a sync signal when the video ends to tell the slaves to restart. With the sync, the videos synchronize every time they start.

You could try it without synchronizing on the restart, and see if they units stay in sync, but they're not expected to. Can you send your slave project file, the bpf you edited with brightauthor, or send a picture?

    Hi Lyndon,

Thanks for the help, I put in a 2 second timer pointing to a blank screen and the loop works great.
One other issue I have now though is the screens don't always sync and start playing the presentation at the same time.
They might work 2 or 3 times in a row then a few screens of the 10 will start playing a few second late.?  Is there any way to make this 100%

Also is there a way to stop and play a video file via a GPIO button press.

    Kind regards,

    Rohan.

if that's the case, then the delay isn't working as it should. The units should sync the same each time. Do you have sample scripts or projects that you're using?

Yes, you could stop and play via gpio.

    Hi.

I am using the brightsign software for all programming.  I have a master program that starts the presentation with a GPIO trigger.
The 10 slave units are synced to the masters GPIO trigger and play but not all at the same time.  From all the reading ive done it should just work, but is not.
What else can I try to get all the units all starting at the same time?

I am running all units as stand alone units so I can not provide you with a URL to send the through the files.  Is there another way to get the files over to you to check?

That's not how sync is supposed to work, unless I misunderstand you.

ARe the slave units connected to the master brightsign over ethernet? ANd, when you press gpio on the master, it sends the sync signal to the slave units? THat's how it's supposed to work.

Can you send me the brightauthor project file you're using for the master, and the project file you're using for the slave. You can send them to <support@brightsigg.biz
