Media RSS or RSS?

Hi All, Here is what I am looking for: I would like a screen that appears periodically between the other images that displays the current weather and/or the weekly forecast, that also updates automatically. Is this even possible? I have seen on other sites, but they have designed a page specifically for this and just import the info to interact with their xml page. I am no programmer and looking for a simple solution. I use the 210 and have simple networking configured and fetching the files from my web server on the internet. Thanks.

There are services that provide weather images like signchannel, or their consumer service framechannel. Microsoft's frameit live also provides weather images.

Currently, you can add a mediarss feed to a brightauthor project. You could add the same feed in more than one place in your playlist, but it wouldn't be random.

DO you have your own source for the weather content?

    Hi,

FrameIt has been shut down effective 15 December 2010.

I checked framechannel, but I did not see where Brightsign was a compatible device. They had a link to compatible frames, http://www.wirelesspictureframe.com/company-listing/

The only rss feed I have been able to add is the regular text rss feed for the bottom of the screen. When I try to use the MediaRSS, it always gives me an error message stating that the link is not a valid feed.

As for a source for the weather, no specific site. I would be okay using CNN, Yahoo, etc. but it just has to be local.

    Thanks,
    Scott
