Export from Keynote for HD1010

Hello everybody! Has anyone exported a Keynote as a movie and played it directly in a HD1010? I have tried some different codecs, but I can't find anyone that works. I want to make a info-display (that will be updated daily) and just make the slides in Keynote and export it to a movie and play with autoplay-script. Any ideas? Best regards Dan Lindgren

    I believe keynote exports hl.264 movs. If you update the brightsign to firmware 3.5.42, it will play movs.

    Interesting!

    So with the new firmware it will play quicktime h264 (.mov) right away? Even from for example iMovie?

    As long as the mov or mp4 file is h.264 encoded, then yes.

    The only limitation right now is that the brightauthor software hasn't been updated yet to recognize mov and mp4 extensions. That version is in testing.

    So, to use mov and mp4 files in brightauthor, you would have to change their extensions to one brightauthor recognizes, like .mpg.

    Will .mov h264 work with autoplay-script if I rename it to .ts?

    Do I even need the autoplay-script (autorun.brs) or can I just put the video, named autoplay.ts in the root of the SD-card and just go?

    If you just copy mov and mp4 files to the root of the flash card, without renaming them, it'll work so long as the unit doesn't have recovery settings from a brightsign network account stored in its registry.

    You don't have to rename it if you're using a script. You can use the proper extensions in the script.

    what autorun script are you referring to if it's not a custom one?

    Im refering to this -> Autoplay Script v3.2.0.4, found next to the firmware to the HD1010.

    So I can just place a movie in h264 named for example test.ts on a blank sd-card and the player will run it?
    Can I even leave it with .mov?

    You shouldn't have to rename the files for that script. I'll double-check. But, they would play properly if you renamed them, yes.

    EXCELLENT!

    Exported from iMovie, didn't even rename it and it worked right away!
    Even perfect seamless looping!

    Im so happy!!

    (If you guys could just make a mac-version of BrightAuthor that would be great <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) --> )

    Thanks for all your help! It really made my whole week! <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->
