Can you reference image urls in a .brs file

Is there support for referencing image urls instead of including the images in a package? For example can this theme.OverhangSliceSD = "pkg:/images/Overhang_Background_SD.png" Be changed to something like this theme.OverhangSliceSD = "http://www.myurl.com/images/Overhang_Background_SD.png"

  Found the answer in another thread.  Hopefully this will be helpful.  The post that worked for me was on page 2 towards the bottom of the page.  I believe it is post 24.
